You will pass through many sets of rapids as your Full Day jet boat tour encompasses just under a 200 mile round trip tour into the deepest river gorge in North America. Uniquely narrated by your
United States Coast Guard certified tour captain to include Native American history,
geology, the history of sternwheelers, miners, cattle ranching and the delivery of the U.S. Mail.
|Stop for a swim!
You will see three mountain ranges, three states and four rivers. Intermittent stops at historical points of interest along the way allow you to discover numerous geological facts, wildlife and plant life from the safety and comfort of our US Coast Guard Certified tour boats.
Approximately an hour and a half after your tour departs, you
will stop for self serve coffee, tea-ice tea, lemonade and fruit
of our climate controlled riverfront Heller Bar Lodge. Your sack lunch
includes deli sandwich with condiments, potato chips, pack of
trail mix and pack of granola bars, ice tea and lemonade are served at our Copper Creek
Lodge. Guests are more than welcome to bring their own personal
size beverage cooler and snacks if they have heartier appetites or
personal dietary restrictions. You will visit the historic Kirkwood Ranch and museum,
our turn around point,
where you will enjoy a walking tour of the one time homestead of Senator Len Jordan
and museum while learning the history and lore that is Hells Canyon.
Ice water is available on the tour boat all day.
Complimentary lemonade, ice tea, hot coffee, and assorted hot tea's
are available to you at Heller Bar Lodge. Ice tea and lemonade at
Copper Creek Lodge. A small selection of
souvenirs is available for your purchase on the ground floor of our Heller Bar Lodge.
Your Full Day Tour returns in plenty of time to enjoy your
evening in the beautiful Lewis and Clark Valley or to begin travel
on to your next destination before dark.
Departs Wednesday through Sunday (seasonal) at 8:00AM returns
between 5 & 6:00PM.
